Conservation Impact

Explorers Against Extinction supports frontline conservation projects that protect endangered species, restore habitats, and help communities live alongside wildlife. By providing funding, raising awareness, and connecting people with meaningful conservation opportunities through travel and engagement, we help deliver practical, measurable outcomes on the ground. Since 2015, we have supported projects across Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas, helping conservation partners tackle some of the most pressing threats facing wildlife and wild places today.

The Conservation Challenge

Key Threats and Pressures

The scale of the conservation crisis continues to grow, with wildlife facing increasing pressure from habitat loss, climate change, illegal wildlife trade, pollution, and human-wildlife conflict. At the same time, many effective grassroots conservation organisations struggle to secure the long-term funding needed to sustain their work. One of our biggest challenges is ensuring that vital projects receive the financial support and visibility they need to deliver lasting impact in an increasingly crowded and competitive fundraising environment.

Why it Matters

Addressing these challenges will help secure a future for wildlife, habitats, and the communities that depend upon them. Increased funding and support will enable conservation organisations to expand their impact, protect more threatened species, restore degraded ecosystems, and develop long-term solutions to environmental challenges. By helping effective projects thrive, we can deliver measurable conservation outcomes today while creating healthier, more resilient landscapes for future generations.

Suggested Camps & Experiences

The best way to experience the conservation stories we support is by visiting one of our trusted project partners and seeing their work in action. From tracking elephants in Kenya and monitoring snow leopards in the Himalayas to supporting community-led conservation initiatives in Africa and Asia, these experiences provide a deeper understanding of the challenges facing wildlife and the solutions being implemented on the ground. Through responsible travel, visitors can contribute directly to conservation while gaining meaningful insights into the people, species, and landscapes they are helping to protect.

Travel Partnerships

Explorers Against Extinction works with a growing network of conservation-focused camps, lodges, guides, and tour operators that share our commitment to responsible travel and positive conservation outcomes. These partners help connect travellers with wildlife and conservation experiences while supporting local communities and protecting natural habitats. Featured partners include safari camps and lodges in Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, Botswana, India, Nepal, and beyond, many of which actively support conservation projects through funding, education, research, or community engagement.
